Quilting Group
Wednesdays (3, 10, 17, 24, 31) from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Join our casual quilting group! Bring your own supplies to work on a current project or start a new one, and enjoy the company of other quilting enthusiasts.

Coffee and Coloring
Fridays (5, 12, 19, 26) at 10:30 am

Spend a relaxing morning coloring. Coffee, pencils, and coloring books will be provided, or bring your own.

Knitting Circle
Thursdays (4, 11, 18, 25) from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Bring any projects you are currently working on and join our fun, relaxing, group. Free and open to the public.

Basic Yoga
Fridays (5, 12, 19, 26) from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm

This class will introduce students to basic postures designed to build strength, flexibility and endurance. Breathing techniques and meditation/relaxation skills also covered. Participants should bring yoga mat or towel. Beginners welcome.

Investment Group

Birds of Prey

Join wildlife educators from the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center to learn about birds of prey and meet some of their resident birds.

Animal Rescue First Responder Training with Mystic Aquarium
Tuesday, October 16 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Please join us for a FREE 2-hour training for ages 18 and up. First responders are vital to Mystic Aquarium’s Animal Rescue Program. The initial response helps us determine the status of an animal and helps us prepare for action when necessary. Participants will learn about federal regulations that ensure the safety of these animals. The program will also cover identification of Connecticut and Rhode Island’s marine mammal and sea turtle species. Edible Wild Foods
Thursday, October 18 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm

The South County region is home to over 100 species of edible wild plants including dozens of species of edible mushrooms. Join Russ Cohen, wild edibles enthusiast and author of the book Wild Plants I Have Known…and Eaten, for a 90-minute slide presentation featuring over three dozen of the tastiest species the region has to offer. Russ will discuss some native edible plants he has grown successfully from seed, and the partnerships he has made with conservation groups and others to add edible native plants to their landscapes. Russ will accompany his talk with handouts and several foraged goodies made with wild ingredients.
