Create, build, experiment, and play at the library. Each week a new challenge or project will be available for kids ages 7+. Please call to register.

Quilting Group

Investment Group

Join this monthly group to learn how to buy dividend stocks and how to receive a larger return on your hard-earned money. All are welcome!

Knitting Circle
Thursdays (5, 12, 19, 26) from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Bring any projects you are currently working on and join our fun, relaxing, group. Free and open to the public.

Coffee and Coloring
Fridays (6, 13, 20, 27) at 10:30 am

Spend a relaxing morning coloring. Coffee, pencils, and coloring books will be provided, or bring your own.

Basic Yoga
Fridays (6, 13, 20, 27) from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm

This class will introduce students to basic postures designed to build strength, flexibility and endurance. Breathing techniques and meditation/relaxation skills also covered. Participants should bring yoga mat or towel. Beginners welcome.

  A narration of the Charles Dickens classic accompanied by live original music.
December 20 Solstice Music and Readings
  Chris Fee, Mike Bussey, and James Hazelwood will lead us on a musical journey through the winter solstice.

Holiday Ramble Event: Snowflake Craft
Saturday, December 7th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Drop-in to make recycled book snowflake crafts in the Children’s Room. Free. Ages 4+.

Holiday Ramble Event: Community Services Information

Local nonprofit and community service organizations will provide information, merchandise, and giveaways in the Champlin Room. Free.

Pysanky Egg Decorating
Thursday, December 12th at 5:30 pm

Lisa Schipritt will lead a class on the art of Ukrainian egg decorating. This is a perfect opportunity to design something unique for the holidays. Ages 12+. Please call to register and bring a container to hold your egg. There is a $5 materials fee for this class.

Graham Cracker Houses
Saturday, December 14th at 11:00 am

Decorate your own graham cracker house with candy and frosting. Please bring a can of non-whipped frosting. Registration required.

Holiday Open House
Thursday, December 19th from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm

Stop by the library for refreshments and holiday cheer! Donations of baked goods are welcome. Free and open to the public.

Funny Pictures: New Yorker Cartoonist Sophia Warren
Thursday, December 19th at 6:30 pm

Sophia will discuss her craft and process as a contributing cartoonist for the New Yorker magazine.

Greenery Centerpieces
Saturday, December 21st at 11:00 am

Design your own centerpiece for your holiday meal. We’ll provide the greenery and décor and you bring your creativity! Ages 6+. Please call to register. Free.

Talons! With Born to Be Wild Nature Center
Saturday, December 28th at 11:00 am

Our local raptor rehabilitators will bring 5 live raptors to the library to teach about the role these magnificent birds of prey play in nature and their unique adaptations to their specific habitats. Ages 5+. For the safety and protection of the birds, this event will be limited to the first 60 attendees.

Armchair Explorers Book Group
December 30th at 7:00 pm

Travel around the world through literature from other cultures. For our December meeting we’ll select titles for 2020. All are welcome!
